In his letter he did not state the cause. He has been in the navy since March 1917, has made four trips to France, and has had many wonderful experiences. He registered September 12 for the army. At present he is at Newport News, Virginia. He expects to leave for home October 5. Mrs. Schlechter also has another son, Frank Leslie Wilcoxson, under Uncle Sam, who is at the Cooks' and Bakers' school at Camp Sherman, Ohio.
