ANOTHER BARTHOLOMEW BOY DIES IN TRAINING CAMP--WALTER STILLABOWER THE THIRD VICTIM
A third Bartholomew county son has died in the service of his country since the United States began war with Germany for world peace. The third victim is Walter Stillabower, 26 year old son of Henry Stillabower, a farmer of near Rugby. The soldier died of double pneumonia at Fort Wright, N.Y., at 6 o'clock this morning and relatives of the young man in this county received word of his death a few hours later.
The soldier was in the draft and was entrained for Fort Wright at Shelbyville on April 1. He was in the cavalry, but was at the fort only a few days before he became ill. His father, who had been notified of the critical illness of his son, was at the bedside when the end came. Mr Stillabower and family but recently moved from Shelby to Bartholomew county. The body of the dead soldier will be shipped back to his home for burial.
The two other Bartholomew county soldiers who have died in service were John Hovis and James B. Larkin and the three died of pneumonia.
