There is an ongoing hunt for the original listing of First City Cemetery. The listing in the Decatur Democrat has not been found and researchers searched through the boxed up records of the city attorney, but nothing was found (6/2016). According to a small article found in the Decatur Library, there were two sets of 4 books that listed those originally interred in First City Cemetery. If anyone has access to those books or has a clue where either set might be, please get in touch with Margie.
